Glancing over all the discussion sections, it appears only the public art board is being used regularly and the others have disintegrated into obscure tech questions and sales pitches. Even those folks needing technical advice are not being served, as the site has become so boring those who could help them rarely visit anymore. Perhaps it is time to reconfigure the discussion boards, abandoning the tired academic divisions now in place. A few boards could be dedicated to technical questions. (say a Computer Aided board and a Materials and Processes board) The rest could be renamed to address the breadth of discussions that could take place here. I imagine boards on Sculpture Education, Directions in Sculpture, The Business of Being a Sculptor and a board to discuss and critique work. The WEB site discussion board could be dumped, as well.
