ISC Sculpture Calendar 3/6/2003

Sculpture Calendar March 6, 2003 Washington, DC and Philadelphia, PA Rob Fisher is unveiling two new commissions. One is a 75' high suspended sculpture in the atrium of the National Association Education headquarters in Washington DC, at 16th and M Streets. It is open to the public. The other is at the Philadelphia International Airport. Both works can be viewed at the ISC Sculpture Community. More of Rob's work is displayed in the Portfolio section <www.sculpture.org> Corpus Christi, TX Michael Manjarris' efforts to bring Mark DiSuvero's, "Ulalu" to Corpus Christi is mentioned in an interesting article about public art controversies in Corpus. http://www.sculpture.net/community/s...s=&threadid=54 Lakefront, Florida Bob Emser, was selected to exhibit his work, Aviatrix, in the Third Annual Florida Outdoor Sculpture Competition. The exhibition is organized by the Polk Museum in Lakeland. The selections for the show were made by Brooke Barrie, curator at GroundsForSculpture in New Jersey. The work will be exhibited along the Lemon Street Promenade from March 25 - February 21, 2004. A full color catalog will be published and will be available during the Lemon Street Celebration, which will be held on April 15. Emser has previously shown in Sarasota at the Sarasota Season of Sculpture.
