this modern method of creative dialogue. The artifacts that will be viewed will finally give a material significance to that dialogue and that method of dialogue. Regardless of the original or intended content of the sculpture, it will now be overcome under the cradling grip of the "Sculpture.net school". Which is fine, because the whole damned point is to add the unimaginable experience (for us) of making actual "contact".

Nah. It was this "dialogue" bit. I don't think it has material significance, even when given material substance. The thing of material substance is compromised by shipping problems. Therefore the dialogue is highly suspect.

Many artists consider their interaction with medium/media a "dialogue" with matter/physicality/reality. And the artifact or product is always the way outsiders get to be momentary "insiders". Perception ever is only pursuing art as it smell roses and stammers and stumbles over too much of everything else.

History will label all of us here as the .net school. We are the 1st generation of this new vehicle for artistic thought and pursuit. The sculpture.net show(Or whatever title it's given), will cement this group as the first to be creating, critising, influencing, teaching, destroying in a new close nit yet disparate way that this modern communication system provides. The 1st "global" school of sculptors.

sub i was thinking the same sorta thing. i think its awesome as long as the information hear stays and finds a way to be permently stored. otherwise that could be the only draw back, back to the damn books

Perhaps a Facebook page exhibition
it would tick all the "new tech" boxes
1...any sculptor not into online social networking will be left out.

2...it will (if approached correctly) be seen by many many people, but according to statistics will be looked at for an average of 43.2 seconds.

3...Critiques will be mostly limited to " OMG dude, thts awesome" or "Tht SUCKS man " .. by way of positive or negative comment

4...person with the most friends...wins
