7"-9" Rt. Angle Grinder

Looking for suggestions for a moderately priced 7" - 9" right angle air grinder. Have worn out the 9" electric grinder with stone dust. Air grinder should be moderately priced & be somewhat of a workhorse. Don't use the grinder often, but when I do, I use it for 3 days straight on stone.

Also places to buy this monster would be appreciated.

Just an idea. I do concrete cutting evry once in a while, and after having screwed up a grinder in a few minutes of work, I learnt that having a vacuum cleaner work reverse, as a blower, prevents the concrete dust from entering the grinder thus preventing literal grinding of mechanical and electrical parts inside. Usually this is most efective if you have someone handle the blower as you move freely with the grinder. It`s worked great for me besides blowing dust far away from lungs sorrounding...

I dont think there are any air grinders worth buying that are "moderate price".
Atlas, Souix, and Dotco are the brands I have heard good things about.
None are cheap.
And 7" air grinders are, almost by definition, expensive.
Something like this is what I would buy, but I dont like buying the same tool over and over again, so I will often bite the bullet and pay what it costs for quality.

I think you are looking at $400 to $650, easy, for a good, name brand grinder like this.

Ries you are right. That Atlas Copco is a monster - 126cfm to power that baby. Thank you I did not see the Atlas before.

I have never used a Air grinder, I use Makita, the last one lasted 2 years, and I am using it every day, usually all day, on traventine,marble,granite ,and cantera, ...they are reasonably priced, I don't have the model number right now, I can get it if you want. The one I use says 7 inch, but I use 9 inch disks all the time,no problem.
