Website Makeover
Hello,
I just did a makeover on my website and wondered if any of you would be kind enough to take a look at it and let me know if it is easy enough to navigate or any other comments you might have. Thanks,

Re: Website Makeover
The gallery link doesn't work from the homepage, but it does seem to work from the other pages.

The script is hard to read and a bit blurry on my computer. I like how you fill the whole home page area. My website's template doesn't let me use a few inches on both the sides. |

Re: Website Makeover
Thanks Suburban,
I've been actually having a few technical issues that I finally got worked out tonight. Maybe someone could tell me if the gallery page loads correctly now from the home page. Thanks,

Re: Website Makeover
The gallery page works for me.
I would recommend: 1. Moving the navigation to the top (best to stick with standard navigation practices so people know where to look for the links) 2. Standardizing the size of your photos (400x600 or 600x800). Some of the larger ones take a while to load, even on DSL.

Re: Website Makeover
-The gallery and works-in-progress buttons only work when navigating from another sub-page; from the bio, etc.
-Navigability is okay, but I'd suggest changing the color of the white font on the buttons, or alternately, render the font in boldface. -The color scheme, (yellows/bright blues on black) is a bit jarring and claustrophobic. Go with something a little less harsh on the eye. -Also, the 'sponsorship' blurb on the front page is a little too prominent and a bit off-putting in the context of your website serving as a vehicle for your work. While visiting an artist's website, I want to be directed, first and foremost, to the artwork and not a donation page offering hats and t-shirts. -Count me in for both of Julianna's suggestions. |

Re: Website Makeover
A big thank you to the both of you for your recommendations. I went back and did a little more work on the links from my home page and was wondering if someone with a different browser than mine could check them and let me know if they work now. I use Explorer and they seem to work fine.
I have an opportunity to have my website listed on a fairly poplular blog this month and I really need to make sure I have the kinks worked out. Thank you very much,
