Blue Alabaster destroying my drill bits

Hi, everyone!

It's been a busy (and hot!) summer, and I've been neglectful of both my sculpting and the community

I've started getting into a piece of blue alabaster, and it's destroyed my masonry, carbide and titanium drill bits. What I'm trying to do is hollow out (of course!) a section of the sculpture. I've successfully drilled through the softer parts of the stone, but it seems that there's a section that is the blue part of the alabaster which is resisting everything I have.

From the power end, I've been using a regular hand drill (not pneumatic) and a Weecheer.

Any ideas of what tools/techniques I should use to get at the tough parts?

Thanks!
