Post Re: foundry in Italy

Hi Marcia
about 5 years ago I spent 3 weeks at a foundry out of Florence at Campo Bisenzoi. They were very hospitable and free with their information and advise. They also have a gallery in Florence where english is spoken. You will need some Italian as the foundry end of the business had very little english
There web page is
www ilcesello.com
I bought a small figure from the gallery but have not had any casting done by them. The main purpose of my visit was to learn traditional casting methods to use in my own foundry.
Cesello means chisel indicating the texturing of the casting
regards
david
