Smile Looking for small scale sculptor (Los Angeles)

Hi,

I'm new to this site, but I was hoping I could find a sculptor who works on a small scale, 6" to 12" for lost wax casting. What I'd like is someone who can sculpt in a Classical/Renaissance style, with expertise in the human figure/face, as well as animals.

Thank you.

Re: Looking for small scale sculptor (Los Angeles)

can you describe more specifically what you are looking for? Does the sculptor have to be situated in Los Angeles?

I think for the project I have in mind it would be easier if the sculptor is in LA so we could work together.

Is this a paying gig? What materials? How many pieces? What's your time frame? Where in L.A.?

Yes, it is a paying gig. I want the sculptures in bronze. Do you have a website, or pics you can post? Or a studio I can visit? Where are you in LA?

Thanks

Re: Looking for small scale sculptor (Los Angeles)

I don't work in that type of sculpture but you might want to check into a local fine art bronze foundry. They usually have sculptors on staff that can help to realize your vision as well as having the facility for casting. Check the Yellow Pages for DECKER STUDIOS in North Hollywood, AMERICAN FINE ART FOUNDRY in Burbank or other listings that may be in your immediate area. If you're just looking for help in sculpting the original, I would ask around nearby art schools like the ACADEMY OF FIGURATIVE ART in Van Nuys.

Re: Looking for small scale sculptor (Los Angeles)

I live in Pomona, so I'm not too far from L.A., I use American Fine Art Foundry in Burbank to do all my casting. I have my own style of work, but I'm good at recreating other styles if I needed to. Check out my site and my post in the Art Lounge section of this site (Just For Fun). There you can see a different type of work than what I normally do. My web site is www.AlfredParedes.com and you can e-mail me directly at alfredart@hotmail.com

Good Luck finding someone.

Alfred

Hi There,

I know Karen Cope is a Figurative Sculptor in the Los Angeles area who works small scale and large scale and casts her work in Bronze. She is a Classical Figurative Sculptor who works out of her studio in Glendale called Cope Studios.

I can help you! Please visit www.RawMaterialSuppliers.com I will refer you to a sculptor who can help you. Decker Studios in LA is where I would go first. I have depth off the bench though

Guys, I don't want to discourage you or anything, but this person was looking for a sculptor in 2005, and hasn't been heard from since. Those bronzes have all turned green by now...
