looks like i'm in another show, London[London] in mid to late July.
it promises to be a London show in the best tradition of shocking old ladies and their cocker spaniels. will exhibit 'isleofthedead' a biggish glass box. Jim

it seems Dan that there was, it probably didnt get online. the reason i think for this is that the organizers have a stake in the 'real lets do it camp'
invites are sent out via email and word of mouth to a vast coterie of london artists and institutions. they eschew any pandering to press, gallery, critics and advertising.
the advantage of this is a type of show which can jump on a venue quickly before it vanishes... as the venue is key. and traditional advertising is too slow to keep up.
i have possibly broken with this 'tradition' by announcing the show here, am aware it is limited as advertising but knowing the importance today of online reference. afterall i am merely informing friends of a show i am delighted to be part of.
i am pleased to announce it was first in googleuk search for big deal no2 many thanks to sculpture net.

Re: BIG DEAL No2

opening tonight, v near bermondsey tube, jubilee line. looks like an english womens society jumble sale with attitude. mostly dull but a few gems worth the visit, eg a group of vacuum cleaners rigged up to make a musical instrument, stunningly and originally mad in the best of traditions..

Re: BIG DEAL No2

triplets..never saw the entire animation and have missed any reruns.... pity, it looked great ..so they had a vacuum organ then?not surprised.
it blew a fuse, enthusiastic crowd, good show... good to be back . although the poster advertises open by appointment its a case of ring up and find out which days etc open. so uk artists go see big deal its the show of the summer.

Re: BIG DEAL No2

Triplets is worth some down time, a little dark, but amusing.
Good luck with your show.

Re: BIG DEAL No2

a fantastic feature animation. very enigmatic, nostaligic and funny. It was retitled 'Belleville Rendez-vous' for the UK maket don't ask me why - I think us Bits find the word 'rendez-vous' enticing with illicit undertones (or is that just me?)

Racine, How did the private viewing do?

Re: BIG DEAL No2

went well, had a couple of galleries sniffing around the lamp post [and each others bottoms] a good in crowd, watched many getting sozzled on the vino, a chilean gut rot designed to turn teeth pearly blue.
will post images when the 'official images' are decided upon. personal reviews all highly positive. it was fun and worth the trip.
