a falling wish list.

the wishes should be free deep thought kind of wishes not Christmas wishes.

Re: 1,000 wishes

I would be happy to share my watermelon with Grommet, but I was careful not to make that a wish, so I can still use my alloted one wish to think of a worthy one. ( Besides whirled peas)

Re: 1,000 wishes

Wow, just one huh...better make it count.

I wish....that everyone could have a Denny's Lumberjack Slam (pancakes, three eggs, ham, bacon, sausages, grits and hash browns) for breakfast EVERY morning. (the world would be a much better place so properly fueled).

how about just everyone who wanted it, and one of those cholesterol lowering pills....
yeah, I want whirled peas too. But if one person wishes it, it's done-- or does everyone have to wish it? How about just the majority, or even 40%?

Besides, what's not worthy and deep about a watermelon? It has lycopene and everything.

Re: 1,000 wishes

#1 falling wish
a soft landing

for anything over 992 feet...(maybe that's 480 ft)(5 seconds from the ground)
a parachute

anyone know the terminal velocity for a falling man?

on a more esoteric note
"I wish you"

It's not that a watermelon is not worthy, you just ought to consider expanding your horizons. For example, wishing to share a watermelon with grommet instead of just wishing for a watermelon has multiplied the potency. Wishing to share a watermelon with all the hungry people in the world goes even further. Wishing all evil on the planet were put inside a watermelon and dropped over the Grand Canyon...now we're getting somewhere!

Seems pointless unless you intend to make it happen. At that point it's something far better, a goal.

That has it's own string of disclaimers too...

Make the piece.

The hunters and hunteds are trading places all round you all the time. If you can manage to stealth between them, go unnoticed, pick their pockets, underground yourself...and be somewhere else when the shrapnel flies; then you are safe. Commerce and culture must be waded through gently as if it were a pond of nitro glycerin. And if you encounter Ophelia there in the murk, blank-staring a beckoning, move-on past...she was someone elses story. Yours must be all your own.

Re: 1,000 wishes

Craig this ribbon looks a bit similar to a cherry wood steam bent piece in our 2007 Block Island show. Have a look. It is "Flow" by Deb Hoy

My Wish??? I wish the MOMA puts my "Winch Drop Flying Chain" in their big room on the 2nd floor, or someone - anyone comes to my solo show at the local library.

the ribbons a good one but they didnt take it far enough, should have went vertical, forcing the piece to be carry its own weight.
the Diminesions exhibit will only let in pieces under 6'x6'.
my first wish, that might change, is having friends that are willing to help.
there may be school kids in an art class sending some wishes from england.
will see.
