identify the artist/s- a question

Dear Sculptors,

As the archivist and curator for the abstract sculptor Ibram Lassaw I frequently receive requests from collectors and auction houses to ID sculptures which they believe are by Ibram Lassaw. A few days ago I got a new picture to ID and while it is not by Lassaw it is very similar to two other works whose pictures I have seen in the last year or so. All three works were purchased in California. Does anyone recognize the artist? They really should sign their work. I am including two pictures and look forward to hearing any news you can give me.

thanks,
Denise

Re: identify the artist/s- a question

Hi Denise, While I have no idea who the artist is who did those pieces, one thing I will say is that they don't have the "feel" of, I assume, your father's work. They seem decorative to me while Ibram's work has feeling to it and is not decorative at all.
Have a great day,
Jeff
