What to use when....

The hot, hot summer dog days are comming. I know everyone here is macho as hell so here is the scenario and the question. A customer or friend walks into the studio late in the hot afternoon. He carries a cold 6pak of suds. Ahh, what timing you say as you stop work and wipe away the pouring sweat. Then it hits you. He brought an import. So, what is your favorite tool or method for opening that beer when ya ain't got no bottle opener?

the side of my anvil or layout table, just put the edge of the cap on the edge of the anvil or table and push down.

i even open twist offs this way, its quicker.

The edge of the cap on a squarish metal edge, with a gentle tap by my fist or maybe a hammer. Sometimes a gentle twist with a Visegrip. Though more often, it's soft drinks supplied by me.

The bottom of the Bic lighter. Old college trick from 37 years ago before you had twist offs. Just had to open up somebodies Guineses last weekend with one.

Re: What to use when....

luckily I always carry a huge broadsword I can whip out and use, but short of that all I can always stare until I intimidate it into opening.
