that would be more along the lines of the "order or cheese" thread. but that has a point of reference, so is box-tainted as well.

I understood it to only be evasive. Some how I think that you feel bad about not voting. Otherwise what's with all the dialog over a simple poll. Adios!

You found your box, you worship it, and now you think you can get rid of it that easily?

Not possible until you start stopping (i luv that phrase, arguing can be fun) the building of your fortifications.

Hey Grommet, 2 for chaos and 2 for order, wishy-washy at best!!!
Try making a choice for a change and by the way, I think you only get ONE vote, not four.

This has turned into the type of problem where the philosopher replies, "If you think you understand, than you obviously don't have a clue about the real nature of the question".

Re: ORDER OR CHAOS

jOe, If you think of God as a box, fine I seem to be confined to the God-box and I'll be content therein. However, if we are discussing thought, and thought as limited to the human perspective, that is a box worthy of transcending.

Ironman, maybe grommet thinks a split personality deserves multiple votes.

Ok Ironman. Think about this real hard and make a choice: Is the world black? Or, is the world white? This makes as much sense as chaos/order.

Re: ORDER OR CHAOS

Order is what each of our minds make everyday it's the Ants that feel compelled to force their narrow views that cause the Chaos.
Dogma/ Politics continually push Chaos into our Order filled lives, so I choose
not to follow the stench from their thorax.

Life as a Ant, I would find the web quickly.

I never take those "I voted" stickers at elections . I'd be a little more inclined if they had one that said, " I chose the lesser of two evils".

Yet you voted anyway and that's what counts. I have'nt been excited about a candidate since Ross Perot in 92.

I don't believe you're an adequate arbiter of need. Though it is admirable that you would stand up to lead, it is important to listen to everyone, not just those who agree with you.

i have voted.

Perhaps a monitary challenge would encourage some thinking out of the box amongest you all. [Is that OK on this forum I'm itching to do it}

Springfield,
I guess some do things on purpose. Some have a purpose to do things, and others, might just be purposeless. Not to sympathize with you, but I dig the purpose of the poll. The monetary challenge I don`t know about that, it may bring more chaos and less purpose to your poll. And lastly, I want to clarify a couple things as it`s true that one can be misunderstood easily in this 2-dimensional space: on post #61 I was just been ironic and sarcastic, and having a blast at the cats fight, watching shit fly over everybody`s heads. No fun making of your poll, just having fun as it seemed like the best option after a bit. I`m just one more ant here...

Craig,
Please help me understand if that`s an analogy or an ironic view. Ants and other social insects display like I said before, some of the most evolved forms of organization. They communicate more effectively than some of us, and we wish humans could live in such an ordered fashion. Much to learn from the seemingly "insignificant" huh. Sorry, took you literally, know what you mean then, but spiders don`t eat ants, do they?

Sadly though, I believe the intention of the poster was to awaken interesting but opposed views about the ORDER/CHAOS topic. There`s plenty info on the subject that goes well deep into thermodynamics and even philosophy, believes, creeds, on and on, but the intention again worthwhile exploring, without the wise needing to step on the more ignorant. Can`t a post like this one or any other besides fun be also didactic without offensive actitudes? That would sure enlighten the level of the dialogue. Or it`s not possible as the language necessarily has to be highly literate so only three or four people end up flashing against each other to see who got more. Where is all the wisdom? At times I wonder ...
