Sorry I missed a day in getting back here, but I do reiterate my original points above and in another thread.

I think things CAN go too far toward intolerance or taunting, and in a personal note, perhaps I'm being influenced just a tab by what happens here in New Orleans almost daily, two years and counting since our devastating hurricane and flood. We have a record over those two years of about a murder every other day, with many days yielding two or more. The worst recent case was five men under about 25, killed in a single car, a drive-by incident.

I especially like Joe~'s quote from Russell Lynes, and I do appreciate that we only are talking and even talking remotely, so actual violence is inhibited, but it violates my personal sense of propriety to see these things. I'm not the judge of the universe, or even the final authority here, but I do hope criticism, and especially gratuitous criticism, will diminish.
