So who all on here is participating (beside me of course)? It would be nice to see some of this boards work in person. I installed my peice yesterday and am very excited for the 21st to roll around so voting can start. I will post a picture of my installed peice soon.

I have heard that there are some who challenge the ulterior motives of the larger entities that are responsible for that artprize thing.

Re: ArtPrize 2011 Grand Rapids

It's a funny video but I don't get the "ulterior motive" idea. When I first heard about ArtPrize a few years ago, I entered a fairly large piece and was chosen for several sites but the reality of shipping the thing there and then returning it was too much money for me (they don't help out with any ship costs) . Though a few of the venues seemed to really want to show the piece, none were willing to help out with the cost to get it there, so I passed on the whole thing.
( I would have liked to have seen the "Duck Tape Jesus" piece though.)

Ha!!! "I'm not done."

Any more information on the ulterior motives at hand?

Here's an article addressing some perceptions.

I am with Mack on this. Would have sent in & gone to ARtPrize, but no money for transport. If there is no money, cannot go.
