HELP! Where can I get a 15'x12' foot 1018 Steel 1/8" Plate?

Found one source but looking for options because it is quite expensive. Trying to find a source (preferably in Florida or the Southeast, but at this point I am not picky) that could cut me one sheet of 12'x15' foot 1018 Cold rolled or hot rolled steel (or even mild steel would work for me). I need the entire solid sheet for a sculpture.

Also, any recommendations on shipping companies?

Thank you for your assistance.

Steel sheets aren't necessarily available in every size you can dream up. If you need a certain size, you can either special-order it from a mill that does that sort of thing, or get whatever sheets you can and weld them together to get what you need.

Will the sheet be used as a single entity or is that the size that you need for all the parts? You can try to start. www.steelforge.com www.metals depot.com

The times I have needed odd plates and sheets (larger than the readily available max of 5 x 12) I have just welded pieces together. If the project requires a 'seamless' surface then you will simply have to spend more time and labor grinding and finishing. Which might indeed make it worth it to pay the extra to the mill for a specialty item.

And something that size (12 x 15) would be a real problem to ship/deliver.

A good option for shipping large and heavy stuff is Fastenal. They wanted to use their delivery trucks that were running mostly empty from the branch stores back to the distribution centers so they registered as a common carrier and they haul stuff for people at a lower cost than trucking lines. You have to get it to their store and have it packed on pallets, ready for their fork lifts to load. They have stores almost everywhere in the US.
