Australian Patina Suppliers?

Hi all, I'd like to find a source for Birchwood Casey M24 (and others) in Australia - since they ignored my email and shipping is outrageously expensive. Any advice on a supplier for this and other chemicals would be greatly appreciated.

Reason: Reduction producing red patches.

If you are looking for straight chemicals, not compounds, you can private email me with a list, as I have a number that I don't seem to use which may include what you are looking for, and perhaps we can swing a deal.

Re: Australian Patina Suppliers?

I get my patinas from Barne's Moulding at King St Newtown. Dunno what brand they are but i've seen them advertised on the net & they come from the US. If you never been to Barnes before..... leave yr credit card at home.

p.s. scuptneoveau (sorry can't spell) is the brand...

Here ya go wondered what would happen if I tapped the little flags in the upper corner of their US web site. So I did the Aussie Flag and here is their dealer there.

Re: Australian Patina Suppliers?

You could just find a secondary supplier & see if they can be bothered replying to yr inquiries..

this mob reckon they send OS.

It seem from my googling that some companies will not send them by air cos of the type of dangerous chemical they are.

this kind of crap is why i settle for whatever colours i can get from Barnes. i used to make my own patinas but just getting hold of chemicals is such a pain i gave it up.

I think the correct word is CAN'T send them by air. Last year I had to fly to New York to install some work at the last minute. No time to send anything ground. A little bottle of oil-based touch up paint had been hidden away in my supply box and airmailed to the site. When I showed up, the paint was nowhere to be found. Seems that they found my paint and confiscated it. That totally messed me up, because I desperately needed that paint to match the original.
