I recently started a new blog on WordPress. You can find it here:

My website has been revamped a couple of times since I posted it here in this thread years ago, so have a look at:

Enjoy.

Re: post up your websites

racine, the photos of your work on your site show your stuff better than any previously posted, I think. Much easier to get into, once past the thumbnail photos. (which are too small, i think.)

Hi Rod,
I am really enthusiastic about your idea of taking art to the people. I am really interested in following your tracks here. Reading about your trips was great.
Can you share what it is made of please.

hi Martin
She is made of fiberglass(polyester resin and fiberglass mat) with a 4-6cm. gel coat of 10-20% bronze powders
she weighs a tad over 100 pounds(50 kilos) and has nuts for threaded rods fiber-glassed into bottom of leg, foot, ass, and hair which line up with the struts for secure bolting to the camper top.
she is clear coated with spar varnish to protect her from wind and rail blown debris---i wash her down with thinner and a light sanding and recoat every year or 2.
...
I also handed out printed copies of the myth, with a picture of isis.

If you do it, let me know your approach

Damned Manjul...your Lenin, Stalin and Ho Chi Min are awesome carvings. Not just in terms of the likeness but in terms of the achievement of realism as it is still retaining the strength (presence) of the stone. Keep it up.

Re: post up your websites

Hi Benjamine,
Though I do not usually like abstract work I appreciate the works you have done in solid wood. I think that it would be nice to sit in front of one of the larger pieces and stop to meditate. They have a spiritual feeling.

Thanks,

Right now they happen to be on display in a church.
They have a revolving art program, that I hope leads to commissioned work.

Re: post up your websites

Wow some fantastic sites here.
I've spent a couple of hours going through them and I was amazed at all the variety. Many are very professional yet simple and easy to use.

I was also amazed by how many were not working.
Lots of really well designed sites out there.

One that I thought was great for sculpture is at:
http://www.marcelovidea.com/

A very simple one that worked well:
http://fourteensquarefeet.com/08/pro...the-crepidoma/

I will include the last site that goes with my recent show in NYC. I went for something that was straight forward with a minimum of info, just images.

Daniel, a wonderful tension of muscle instead of emotion. My attention stays on the beautiful body. The calmness of contentment yet still engaging. Great work!

Blake, your work is superb, as usual!

Thanks for the links. I was impressed with the rotation of the sculptures on the one. His work is figurative in a very original way. Scout
