This is not exactly new. I've always made a "rough skeleton" armature before sculpting over it. I was taught to sculpt (realistic figures) this way.

Hi Mark, I agree with you in most cases.
a sculptor should design the armature himself because he is the guy who understand his works best. I am not refusing using new tech though :-)
