New gallery
I finaly put the sign up at my new gallery. If you are ever in Port Aransas TX drop by and have a few on me.
Now we need more art and finish adding the decorations. There are two rooms and so there is more space than in this pic. Some outdoor space also. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Re: New gallery
Well there is a story. Theres always more. Artist need a second income and help from love ones. We all know that without that you slowly die working at 7-11 or Walmart.
My story for this year goes like this. I spent the year going after a lady i couldn't live without and ended up getting married. To some this maybe a old hat but to myself I had not fallen in love with anyone for 40+ years. Now what makes this great love even better is that i learned and enjoy making boat stuff. (canvas and upholstery) If this wasn't enough SHE likes art. With her sewing ability and my ability we needed more space. We rented space and being a wood guy I made all the tables and selves so my love could have the best space she could have. As it turns out there was more room than the canvas shop needed, so there is room for my art and room for others as well. Here I'm a burned out carver, that was tired of the art world with space to sell art. Married for the first time and nothing I want to make, but that is this year not the next. Sometime stepping back and looking at what you have is the best art and life you can ever make. I win TODAY.(with more to come) CRAIG KUHN AKA clk wood guy(CLK GALLERY) Last edited by craigktx : 12-09-2011 at 12:05 AM. |

Re: New gallery
No their not ours, they are rental boats. I think there are more boats than people that live year round on the island.

Re: New gallery
Funny thing with the gallery is I have put all my work together that I still have and I need more space. The bad ones are still heading to the storage unit as I call it (it's the bathroom). Some things might look better from the throne.
![]() How big of a place would it take to house all the works sold and the dust ridden ones? |
