The
Evanston Art Center located in Evanston, IL, is inviting you to attend our new five-day
Summer Immersion Program, Monday, August 29 – Friday, September 2, 2011. Call it an
art retreat because of its locale in our 1920s Tudor-style mansion on Lake Michigan, just minutes from culturally rich downtown Evanston and Chicago. Call it an
art intensive because of its 5 full-day format of skill building and continuity to help you reach your artistic goals. Call it an
art community because of the cross-departmental lunchtime and evening discussions, cultural field trips, and a final group show. Call it a
DESTINATION!
The 2011 areas of study will be:
· Direct Metalworking: Sculptural, Functional & Ornamental
· Digital Video Film: A Production
· En Plein Air: Impressions of Landscape
· Glass: Jewelry and Tiles
· Bookmaking and Collage
· Fiber: Beyond the Kimono with Nassen
· Printmaking: Intaglio and Relief Prints
