I have worked very hard to keep the galleries from putting anything on the walls.
I do have a large banner (unfortunately, in Canada not in Singapore where I needed it) but that would normally go in the window.
The idea is of course that the viewer sees only the sculpture and secondly that the gallery becomes a different environment than usual, making the experience as unique as possible.
On several occasions I discussed this with curators and have been advised to keep the focus on the sculpture.
I am certainly interested in hearing any ideas of how it could be done differently.
