I recently visited Tom Otterness at his studio in New York along with a small group of people from ISC. He has a very impressive studio space with many projects going on that he is working simultaneously. I was rather amazed at the size of the casting he was assembling. Huge feet about six foot tall being welded to a long body form.
There is a streaming video about his work on the ISC Sculpture.org site located at:
and a description of his work in the figurative collection at
His website is www.tomostudio.com
He is a interesting and personable artist to meet, giving of his time, and thoughtful about his work. I'm sure his studio is not open to the general public, but he does have a show currently at the Skoto Gallery in New York www.skotogallery.com
that is well worth the visit if you are in the area.
