The second South Texas Sculpture Symposium is being planned for the Fall of 2003 to coincide with an exhibition at Blue Star Art Space. Organizers Bill FitzGibbons, Steve Daly and Randy Jewart are forming a committee to produce the event. It is our hope to reconstitute the Texas Sculpture Symposium and further organize the statewide sculpture community. Blue Star Art Space is currently accepting slides and resumes for the upcoming fall 2003 exhibition titled "South Texas Sculpture." Sculptors from Austin, south to the Rio Grande, and from the Houston area to San Angelo are eligible. The curators for this important exhibition are Bill FitzGibbons, Executive Director of Blue Star Art Space, and George Neubert, Director of the San Antonio Museum of Art (and former board member of the International Sculpture Center).
