Re: wanting to get into 3d computer sculpting..

I'm an abstract artist, paintings on canvas/paper. http://abstractsbybrian.com and http://abstractsbybs.blogspot.com/

I want a program to simulate stone and/or clay and let me sculpt it on my computer in 3d - is there such a program that won't cost an arm and a leg?

[There is a hardware/software system like that; the Phantom Omni Arm and Claytools software. it's made by Sensable Technologies, and it gives you the ability to actually feel the thing you're working on and sculpt it in real time. It's not cheap, but it's reasonably priced for what it does. There's nothing else like it, or even close.]
