Does anyone here sculpt plaques?

The sculptures that hang on the wall.

How do you frame them? I looked for sculpture frames but have not had any luck.

For a future project I thought I would try a plaque. Have seen quite a few on-line and they look pretty good so I thought I would try my hand at one. But can't figure out how people frame them. Must be something sturdy as they seem, based on the ones I have seen, quite heavy.

Hey James, I've done a few portrait reliefs and plaques. I usually frame the piece with door edge molding from a general hardware supply or use a router and cove bit set about 1/8 below the face of the wood and do a rollover. Both ways look alright but I prefer a molding. I believe I have a few listed on my website if you want to take a look. http://www.giftedhandssculpting.com/gallery_page.html
