"A previously unknown bronze statue, commissioned by the Medici family in the 17th Century, is to be auctioned by Christie's auction house next month."

Just imagine what a fine horse are little prince was saddling.I wonder if they could trace the horses blood line ,like the sculpture,and see if they are still around today.I imagine it will fetch a heep of pennys.

That horse's pose is almost an exact copy (if that’s the right word) of New Orleans’ equestrian Andrew Jackson in Jackson Square, so the pose at least has long been known. In fact, the wig on the rider reminds me of French royalty in the early 1700's, so this sculpture type can’t be uncommon.
