Hi Curtis, Congratulations on being curated into the Tampa Museum show. It's always nice to have a curator pick your work for inclusion into a museum show like that. It says a lot about what you're doing, the direction you're taking and the level of creativity and professionalism that you have shown.
I too was recently curated into a museum show (Santa Fe Museum of Fine Arts, "So-Q" show, 1/23 to 4/25) and it was a great experience. It was the 3rd largest opening (1600 people) they'd ever had, good feedback on the work, 140 page color catalog (they gave each of us one and I bought six more) and a fun weekend in a charming city. The museum people bent over backwards for us and couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.
I hope that your experience is as wonderful as mine was!
Sincerely, Jeff
Hey, congratulations to you both.
Since those shows are out of reach for some of us, could you each post an image or two? Curtis, when I went to your site, the second series I clicked on - the circular forms - didn't want to open. (Maybe it's just too late and it's tired? My computer gets cranky if not treated properly, so maybe that's it. Probably tomorrow it'll be fine.)

Hey Jaz, Those shows are as you say "out of reach for some of us" only because you think that way. What do you think, Me and Curtis have some special voodoo magic to get curators to our studios and include our works in their shows? Luck favors the prepared mind, so do the work, get it out there and good things like this will happen to you as well. Believe it!
Sincerely, Jeff

Jeff,
Thanks for the encouragement. Actually, I meant that those particular shows are out of my reach to see right now. I do travel around to see things occasionally, but I know I won't get to see your shows in person. But looking at your site works too.
I have had work in shows outside of New England, but I haven't been aggressive enough about it, so the nudge is a good thing. And I haven't done enough new work lately either. Today I'm working on my studio, not in it because it got to a point where I'm tripping over everything and everything is filthy with grinder dust. So the piece on the work table and the one leaning against the wall are on hold for a day or two.
But I will take your advice to heart. It's great that you are having such success! You've developed an interesting process...concrete to nature.
Thanks.
JAZ
